Cameron was the wire-to-wire favorite in the Republican primary, holding off a charging Kelly Craft to secure the nomination. He will face off against Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear in November. But Beshear has a big head start, fundraising-wise: Cameron had to drain his campaign account down to close to zero to win the primary.
